No 1 is well enough in a drawing room or Durbar, No 2 is too English looking for my taste but No 3 is just right for negotiating the Afghan passes on horseback. -Ross
#1 does have the style, #3 left has the correct gear for traversing the wilds of central Asia. #2 and her sisters look like they could beat up most takers.
I voted for #3 because she looked to come from an Indiana Jones movie. #1 is proper for certain occasions like the interrogation episode. #2 just didn't feel right for Khyber Pass, more for a Mummy movie.
Allen, Thank you sincerely for the honour of your approbation for The Campaigns of Gen. Pettygree blog. I appreciate your interest very much and am gratified you like it. --- Congratulations regarding your award. Extremely well-deserved. I love looking in on your new constructions and scenes. --- Respectfully, Bill
Thank you everyone, for participating in the poll and your remarks here, on TMP or even in person. I had fun with this and it offered a nice intermission before....
Pardon me I see black smoke heading up river. I need to check it out.
Love this blog--I have even sent it on to my uncle who is a contempoary of Jack Scuby, because I know he'll love it. Where do you find all the little details like wall paintings and such?--they are great!
For style..it´s got to be 1, but for an all round action countess 2
ReplyDeleteCheers

I also voted for #1. It is proper enough to fit the period of 1899/1900 without looking overly modern, yet still having allure.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the gentlemen. No 1 every inch a countess

I voted #2 for the all action heroine but #3 looks good as well; I thought #1 was impressive but a bit staid

ReplyDeleteI would vote for #3. It looks more Russian than #2, which looks like an English explorer.
ReplyDeleteI have chosen you to receive the Stylish Blogger Award. The details can be found here:

I also feel #3 has the right look for the location.
